Gathering Scots pine for preparation for Econet's sale the following weekend at Prospect Park. This was one of the last sales held at Prospect Park which despite plentiful parking did not prove to be a popular venue. After a break Christmas sales resumed at Caversham Court in 2008.
A key selling point for the trees has always been that they are gathered locally from heathland as part of the management. As well as their local provenance, they also have the advantage of not having been treated with pesticides and growth retardants unlike their commercial counterparts.
