"Scots pines attempt to take over lowland heath"
Volunteers from Econet joined staff and volunteers from the Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) gathering trees for their sales at Caversham Court, Wildmoor Heath and Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre over the coming weekend.
Cutting and dragging.
Loading.
Taking a break, the usual biscuits replaced by more seasonal fayre, mince pies, stollen and rich fruit cake.
Securing the load.
The last few.
Our annual sale of Scots pine Christmas trees at Caversham Court. Also represented were BBOWT (the local Wildlife Trust) selling wreaths and other natural decorations, RSPB with bird tables, feeders and bird food along with seasonal merchandise, Reading Beekeepers selling honey and beeswax products, as well as a Fairtrade stall with a wide range of goods.
Our thanks to all who supported the event helping make it an outstanding success.
