Cornwell Copse, Tilehurst ~ Coppicing

Much of this small woodland situated on the western edge of Tilehurst consists of sweet chestnut and hazel, traditionally both of which would have been regularly coppiced to provide timber for fencing and the like.

A few moments relaxation as the task draws to a conclusion.
