Fifteen people joined this year's Dawn Chorus Walk at Clayfield Copse marking International Dawn Chorus Day. Led by local ornithologist Peter Scudamore they hoped to hear around twenty five species of bird. The walk began at 4:30, almost an hour before sunrise, on a chilly morning making the hot drink midway through very welcome. [Walkers seen here are looking up at a tree creeper's nest.]
There had also been a Dawn Chorus Walk at Reading Old Cemetery the previous day led by Adrian Lawson, which was much appreciated by those who took part.
