Led by bird enthusiast Peter Scudamore 15 early birders aged 6 to 60+, arrived at Clayfield Copse at 4.30 am to listen to the Dawn Chorus. They were not disappointed beginning in the woods with a tawny owl signing off for the night and ending with a garden warbler as they walked back across the fields. A total of 28 birds along the way with only a brief stop for a welcome hot drink and cake thanks to Sandra, Steve and the volcano kettle.
