Clearing an area vastly overgrown with willow, allowing in light to encourage the development of the Loddon Lily, Leucojum aestivum, also known as Summer Snowflake, which is common to this part of the country.
One volunteer missing from the task, was to be found busily working in a meadow of his own making.
