The path in question, which is used by a local health walking group amongst others, had become narrow and muddy in places.
The overgrowing ash and blackthorn were cut back, any suitable material was retained for future use possibly for stakes and binders.
Further on the path became more overgrown and muddy.
Dave sizes up the problem.
Cutting back the overgrowing will give a wider area in which to walk and hopefully help let the muddy section dry out.
After a hard morning work the team enjoy a well deserved lunch break. We then split up most going to the butterfly bank to clear scrub while a few remained to finish work on the path. Team for the day: Phil, Dave, Judith O, Barry, Alan, someone whose name escapes me well hidden behind Alan, Mike, Terry, Jackie, Judith Q and Peter plus John.
