Withy Copse, Tilehurst ~ Dead hedging

As a feature and also a means of disposing of the brash created by the coppicing, it was decided to build a dead hedge along one side of the coppice plot.

Although appreciated by local residents who passed by on the day, the hedge was as predicted by some of them, short lived.
