Andrew Noyes helping out.
  Clayfield Footpath Project

On2nd February the first stage of improving the access to the Local Nature Reserve and sculpture trail in the woodlands at Clayfield Copse began, so that EVERYONE regardless of fitness or whether on foot, with pushchair or using a wheelchair can enjoy the sights, sounds and feel of the countryside.

Withgrants from Reading Primary Health Care Trust, Local Heritage Initiative and a donation from Reading Borough Council, The Friends have joined with BTCV, volunteers from the London Post Office and 'Conserve Reading on Wednesday' to work on the footpath leading from the car park to Clayfield Copse. The volunteers led by Andrew Noyes Community Project Officer for Thames and Chiltern BTCV moved 60 tonnes of hoggin and crushed stone to create this new path.
